Some things can't be solved by thinking alone. They need to be felt and released.
For those who have tried to think their way through and are now ready for embodied change.
The next step isn't about learning more. It's about letting your body do what your mind has been working so hard to accomplish.
Your nervous system doesn't react to insight. It responds to breath.
Research confirms what practitioners have known for a long time: intentional breathing significantly reduces stress. The body already knows how to find its way back.
Conscious, connected breathing reaches places your mind can't reach on its own. Emotions held as tension, patterns stored in your body, even things you understand but haven't fully felt, can move with the breath. Most people describe it as letting go of something they didn't know they were holding.
While breathwork helps move what's built up, Reiki helps restore what's been lost. It's gentle, hands-on, and deeply calming. If breathwork opens you up, Reiki works with your energy to help you feel steady. Together, they give you space to arrive somewhere new.
When we close, I'll bring you back slowly. There's tea, time to ground yourself, and no rush. You're welcome to share what came up or keep it close. Either way, your session is complete.
After breathwork, we slow down. You rest, and if it feels right, I may offer Reiki: gentle, hands-on, unhurried. Not every session includes both. We follow what's right for you.
You'll lie down, put on an eye pillow, and I'll invite you to begin. From there, I step back. The music holds the space, and your breath does the work. Feelings, sensations, clarity, release, things you can't quite name yet. All of it is welcome.
We sit together and I ask one question: what's your intention for today? You don't need a perfect answer. Just naming it is enough.
I'll walk you through the breathing technique, answer any questions, and help you get comfortable. Wear clothes you can move in, skip the eye makeup, and bring a water bottle if you'd like.
“I walked out of that session a true believer.”
I came into Angela’s breathwork class feeling pretty skeptical and not knowing much about the practice at all. I honestly expected a simple breathing exercise, but what I received was an experience that fundamentally changed my perspective. The feeling I experienced during the class was unlike anything I have ever felt before. It was deeply moving and completely unexpected.
That’s completely fine. Most people come in with no experience. You don’t need to know anything ahead of time. Before we start, I’ll explain what to expect, answer your questions, and help you feel comfortable. All you need is curiosity.
That’s actually a good thing. Being skeptical means you’re paying attention. This work is based on research and guided by someone who can explain both the science and the experience. You don’t have to believe in it before you try. You just need to be open to giving it a chance.
This is the most common worry people have before their first session, but it’s rarely how they feel afterward. Most people are surprised by how much they experience. Still, everyone moves at their own pace, and each session is unique. Whatever comes up is right for you. There’s no wrong way to do this.
A private session is fully focused on you: your intention, your pace, your experience. Group sessions take place at Coastside Yoga Collective and are shared on yoga mats, with the added energy of the group. Both are powerful. Private sessions often go deeper, while group sessions offer something special that comes from being together.
Intentional breathwork directly affects your autonomic nervous system, helping your body relax, release tension, and restore balance. Studies from several controlled trials show that breathwork is linked to lower stress levels. Many people leave a session feeling more settled than they have in a long time.
Sessions are flexible. Sometimes we combine both practices in one session, and sometimes just one is right for you. We’ll follow what you need. If you’re unsure, booking a private session lets us figure it out together.
If you have any medical conditions, always consult a doctor first. However, most populations can participate in this form of breathwork. Please let me know if you have specific concerns you are aware of and I will adapt the session to best fit your well-being.
